Memory Planner Spread - Weekend Roadtrip

This week in my Memory Planner - We went out of town for one night to meet my pen pal and her husband in OH.  I live in Indiana and she lives in Pennsylvania, so this was close to the half way point.  We rented an Air bnb, which was very nice and reasonably priced.  We went to Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum in Wheeling, WV, not far from where we stayed.  It was in an old school house.  It was 2 stories, plus a basement.  The basement was full of a Snoopy collection that a local doctor had donated to the museum.  There were a few rooms FULL of snoopy memorabilia. The other 2 floors were full of games, toys, train tables and SO much more.  We then went to dinner a locally owned restaurant on the river.  The scenery was beautiful and the food was delicious.  The next morning we went to another local restaurant for breakfast, which was delicious as well.  My pen pal and I started writing back in 1980.  That's quite a long time.  :)  I have another pen pal in FL that we started writing at the same time.

On our way home we stopped by the former Longaberger Basket Building in Newark, OH.  I've wanted to go by it since I heard about it years ago.  It has been closed for several years.  The building itself looked to be in good shape for being empty for so long.  The landscaping definitely needed some attention.  I only took the one picture.  I have no idea why.  I think I was just in awe of it.  It is MASSIVE!! When you are driving to it, at least from the direction we came, you go around a corner and BAM! there it is.  It actually startles you.  It's in a very obscure place from what I would have expected.  I would have thought it would have been in a business district or a ritzy part of town, especially with it being so iconic and such a unique architectural design.  There is really not much around it besides houses and a small trailer sales business next door.  If  you look it up on line, it has some interesting history.

In some other news this week, a Dollar General not far from my house burnt to the ground.

All of the game stickers are in my Etsy shop, Indiana Inker Plans (in a smaller version - I printed the money and dice larger just for this spread) as well as the script stickers.

This is my 2024 Kellofaplan classic dashboard layout.  This was definitely a fun spread to create.
