What A Year 2020 Has Been

As 2020 comes to a close, I thought I'd share a few of the good things that happened in my life this year. Yes, this has been a very trying, aggravating and frustrating year for many reasons, mostly related to COVID-19. However, minus those irritations, I've had a pretty good year.  I'm not a huge fan of my job any longer, but am grateful for the raise I received early in the year and that my position remained essential throughout the year so I didn't miss any work. In June, we welcomed grandbaby #6. He had some health issues in the beginning, but is a very healthy and happy baby now. In October, we found out that grandbaby #7 will arrive in May and is a boy. Also in October, I made an offer on a condo and it was accepted. A few days later I listed my house, which was my grandparents house they purchased in 1952. It was a hard decision, but it was time for a new chapter and that house no longer met my needs. It is definitely a seller's market and sold in less than 24 hours. Then began the financing process and jumping through all of those hoops. I'm sure that process could be simplified and less expensive. Closing costs are ridiculously high whether you are buying or selling. After a month, it was time to close on the condo and get moved. All of my kids jumped in and did a great job in making that happen. A week later, I closed on my house. I hope they love that house as much as we all did and make plenty of memories for years to come.

I will be sharing before and after pictures of the condo in future posts.

Below is a picture of my grandparents house that I sold.  I lived there for 6 1/2 years and did several improvements through those years.  Visit my Home Improvements tab to see a few before and after pictures.
