Guitar Card

My son turned 20 on September 12th.  He is my youngest, so we now officially are finished with teenage years.  :)  He loves guitars.  He took lessons a few years ago and hopes to get back to lessons and playing again soon.

This card is larger than I usually make.  It fits into a business sized envelope.  It didn't turn out exactly how I had planned, but not too bad.  

Base:  Basic Black 8" x 11"; scored at 4"

I created the Guitar from finding an image online, printing and cutting it out, then tracing it onto my card stock.  I used a white gel pen for the strings.  The grey pieces on the main part of the guitar are made with the Word Window punch.  I punched one, inserted it back into the punch to shorten it.  The knobs on the other end to tune the strings, I punched a Scallop Circle and used 3 of the scallops on each side.

Card Stock:  Stampin' Up! (Basic Grey, Basic Black and Real Red).
Ink:  Basic Black - I sponged the face and edges of the red card stock with Basic Black ink.
Stamps: "Happy Birthday" (not Stampin' Up!); Son is from the Family Reunion stamp set
