Electrician Graduation Thank You Card

I posted earlier that our son graduated from Lincoln College of Technology in their Electrical Service Technician Program at the end of June.  We held his Open House the first week of July with a bit of a light bulb theme.  This is the Thank You card I designed for him to send.  I hope he doesn't think it's too cutesy.  :)

Here is the Congratulations card that I had posted earlier, along with his cupcake toppers.

I had made this card first before I remembered that I had the smiley face stamp.  It's not Stampin' Up!  I've had it for a long time.

Light Bulb:

Card Stock:  Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey and Basic Black
Ink: Daffodil Delight and Basic Grey
Circle Punches:  1 1/4", 3/4" and 1/2"
Sponge edges of circles with coordinating inks and adhere together

The graduation cap is from a clip art image I found online.  I cut it down to size
The tassel is embroidery floss
I pierced a hole in the center of the cap and ran the end of the floss through it, securing it on the back.  I punched a black circle using a standard hole punch and adhere over the pierced circle to create the "button" on top of the cap.

I used the Uni-ball Gel Pen (#105021) $3.50 for the marks on the light bulbs and graduation cap on the Congratulations card.

Cards:

Card Stock: Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey and Bashful Blue
I sponged the edges of all pieces with Basic Grey ink
The background folder (Basic Grey) is not Stampin' Up!
