"FAMILY" Frame

I took a class on Monday on making this framed art.  Isn't it beautiful?  I plan on making another one in red, white and blue since my house is done in the Americana theme.  I'm anxious to get it finished.

This is a 10 x 13 frame.  The base squares are cut at 3" x 3".  The background squares are cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".  "FAMILY" was cut using Serif Essentials Alphabet #113464 (for the Big Shot) from Stampin' Up!.  The embellishments are various punches, dies and sizzlets.

Using the paper that comes in the frame, turn it over and lay your squares out the way you want them, adding your letters and embellishments.  Once you have it the way you want it, start adhering it down.  We found that using Tombo Mono Multi glue works best for the smaller pieces.


You can arrange the word "Family" any way you'd like.  The lady teaching the class had her F and A next to each other the M to the far right in the 2nd row; I and L next to each other on the left of the 3rd row and the Y in the bottom right hand corner.

She has also done one in Christmas colors with the word BELIEVE.
