She paired up everyone that signed up to participate. The idea is that we each have to hand make gifts to send to the other one. My "Valentine", Stephanie lives in Colorado and is a total opposite of me. I think the only thing we have in common is that we like to sew. :) I had a hard time deciding what to make for her. I waited until the last minute and this is what I came up with.
2 Pattern Weights
2 Lavender Sachets
Camera or Phone Case
Set of 4 Coasters
They were each (except the pattern weights) made using the Scallop Square Die and Sizzix Big Shot from Stampin' Up!
Lavender Sachets
Set of 4 Coasters
Camera or Phone Case
I made mine a little different than the tutorial I found. I will be adding a tutorial soon. I ended up making her a 3rd one before I shipped her package.
I also made her this "button" bookmark.
I hope she likes everything.
I received my package from her yesterday. I love the little pouch.
The 2 items on the far right are handmade soaps, Apple Spice and Lemongrass.
Stop over at her blog, The Petite Sewist and have a look around.
I had a great time participating in this exchange and look forward to doing another one.

Hi there!
ReplyDeleteI found your quilted coasters over on Pinterest, followed the link and found your site.
Then I realized that you were in the same Valentine Exchange as me over on Happy Hour Projects. Talk about a small world! I haven't received from my partner yet. I'm so excited to see what I'll receive. :D
What a lovely idea for an exchange. You made and received some lovely gifts! Love those coasters!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!

I love that your gift is a whole matched set! And pattern weights - what a simple but super useful idea.
ReplyDeleteI am having so much fun browsing everyone's gifts. :) So glad you were part of the exchange!
