2012 Weight Loss Goal
I've known for a few months that I needed to start watching what I was eating and lose some weight. After trying on several pairs of pants last Thursday to find that NONE of them fit, I finally got on the scale to see how much I needed to lose. I'd be happy with losing 17lbs, but would prefer 22lbs. I'm not brave enough to take a "Biggest Loser" picture and post its, so I have put a ticker in my sidebar which I will update periodically.
After losing my mom in 2001, I went through a depression and lost around 40lbs. I went from a size 14 to a size 4!! I'd kept all but about 5lbs off until I quit my job in February 2010. I then gained another 5 of it back. Then, my youngest daughter got pregnant in April 2011 and I gained another 10!! I thought the daddy was supposed to gain that weight....not Mamaw. :)
So, here I am, 22lbs overweight with very few clothes to choose from. I refuse to go buy more, because I should be able to fit into the ones that I have. When I lost my weight before, I cut back on what I was eating and did a lot of walking. With it being in the heart of winter here now, I'll need to come up with another form of exercising, but have already started cutting back on my portions and the amount of sweets I eat. I drink mostly water anyway, so there won't be any changes there.
