These are a few baby items I've made recently. I love making baby things. We have a grandson due this month and a great niece due in April. Our dog groomer is also expecting a baby girl in February. So there are plenty of babies to be creating for. :)
I made this smaller fleece blanket to cover him up while he's in his car seat. It's fleece on both sides. I laid the fleece out right sides together, rounded the corners (I used a paper plate), stitched round the outer edge, leaving a 5" opening for turning. After turning, I pinned the whole closed and top stitched completely around.
I love making these burp cloths. They are a great size and so easy! I used this pattern.
More burp cloths. I also made matching washcloths. Here is that tutorial.
I love this blanket pattern! It is very quick and easy. The "cupcake" is made from the burp and wash cloths in the above picture. I laid 2 of the wash cloths on top of the 2 burp cloths and folded in 1/2. I then gathered the remaining wash cloth in my hand and laid it at one end and then rolled it up. I sat it inside of a coffee filter and tied a bow around it. I got the idea from Lil Pink Pocket. She used a receiving blanket and washcloth, but my receiving blanket was too thick.
