December Stamp Class

I'm teaching a class in December at our local library.  These are the cards we will be making:

All products are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated.
You can place an order by visiting www.Stampinup.com.  If you don't currently have a demonstrator, I'd be happy to assist you.  You can contact me at kellyjmat@comcast.net.  If you choose to order online, you're welcome to designate me as your demonstrator.

Materials Needed:

Paper - Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla
Ink - Real Red, Whisper White
Stamp:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
Punches- Modern Label, Word Window, Star
Big Shot - Perfect Polka Dot Folder and Scalloped Heart of Hearts Sizzlet

Directions:

Real Red (base) 4 1/4" x 11"; score at 5 1/2"
Very Vanilla - cut 4" x 5 1/4"; run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot Folder
Stamp "Merry Christmas" with Real Red and punch out using the Word Window Punch
Cut a piece 3 1/2" x 4" (I brushed the edges with Real Red ink) to adhere to the inside for
                        journaling.
Wild Wasabi - Cut out 3 hearts with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Sizzlet
Cut 1 with the Modern Label Punch
Daffodil Delight - Punch 1 star
Chocolate Chip - Punch 1 with Word Window for trunk

Cut a piece of Real Red ribbon 5 1/4" long.  Adhere to the back of the Very Vanilla about 1/2" - 3/4" from the top.

Adhere "Merry Christmas" to the Wild Wasabi Modern Label punch; adhere those to the ribbon

Brush the edges of the hearts, star and trunk with Whisper White ink.

Assemble the tree and adhere to the card.

Materials Needed:

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Ribbon:  Melon Mambo
Stamp:  Tiny Teacup
Punches:  Large Scallop Circle, Corner Rounder
Extras: Dimensionals, glue dots

Directions:

Chocolate Chip:  Cut base 4 1/4" x 11"; score at 5 1/2"
                           Cut 1:  2 3/4" x 4" (round the corners)

Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4"; sponge with Chocolate Chip ink and brush around the edges
3 1/2" x 4" (brushed with Chocolate Chip) adhere to inside for journaling.

Adhere Very Vanilla to base

I used a small piece of Melon Mambo card stock that I had on hand to center on the Chocolate Chip piece with rounded corners. If you don't have any, you can use a piece of ribbon.
Adhere 2 3/4" x 4" Chocolate Chip to the Very Vanilla

Stamp the Tiny Teacup in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla, then punch with the Large Scallop Circle Punch; brush the edges with Chocolate Chip and adhere to card. I used dimensionals to give it some depth.

Tie a bow with Melon Mambo ribbon and adhere to the center top.  I used a glue dot.

Materials Needed:

Paper:  Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink:  Pretty in Pink
Ribbon:  Pretty in Pink
Punches: Scallop Oval, Large Oval
Stamp:  Family Phrases
Big Shot
Heart Folder from Paper Studio
Mat Pack
Paper Piercer
Dimensionals

Directions:

Base:  Pretty in Pink 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4"; run through Big Shot with heart folder, brush edges with Pretty in Pink
Attach a piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon about 3/4" from the top (do not adhere in the center so you can tie your bow)

Punch 1 Scallop Oval from Pretty in Pink; using Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, pierce a hole in each scallop

Stamp "Happy New Baby" in Pretty in Pink on Whisper White; punch out using Large Oval Punch

Attach white oval to scallop oval

Attach ovals to center of card with dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Whisper White 3 /12" x 4", brush edges with Pretty in Pink; adhere to inside for journaling.

I had a last minute change on design #2 for stamp class.

Materials Needed:

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo
Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo
Big Shot
Square Lattice Folder
Stylus
Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch

1st layer - Very Vanilla - 4" x 5 1/4"; sponge edges with Chocolate Chip; sponge dab the front; adhere to base
2nd layer - Chocolate Chip - 3 1/2" x 3 3/4"; adhere to 1st layer
3rd layer - Melon Mambo 3" x 3 1/4"; Run through Big Shot with Square Lattice Folder; Attach piece of Chocolate Chip ribbon to center before adhering to layer #2 (I would use sticky strip on this layer)
